I have been taking photographs ever since I can remember. Having used film for most of my photographic life gave me a good grounding. It taught me the need to get it right first time, however that said, the digital age is here and here to stay. No more are we to wonder if that all important shot turns out the way you expect it to. With digital, you can see the results straight away and with digital manipulation it is easy to correct most errors. I was once lucky enough to go to Antarctica whilst in the navy. The shots I took at the time were slides and took approximately 4 weeks to come back, it was with great anticipation and excitement when I did receive them back to see my results. Although digital doesn't provide the anticipation it still provides the excitement and the thrill of taking good shots will never go away.
